Silas Katapatuk aka Slice is a Cree Hip-hop artist, hailing from the Cree Nation of Wemindji located in Northern Quebec. His sound blends in with other genres like pop, trap, rock, and everything in between, most of his beats include guitars and bass. His style is influenced by Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Timbaland, Wu-Tang just to name a few.
He was featured on N’we Jinan’s Vol. 1 back in 2014, where the album reached #1 on iTunes, it was coordinated by Cree Nation Youth Council and the whole project was produced by David Hodges.
He writes his own lyrics in both Cree and English. He is very involved with his community by having his own songwriting and beat making workshops with his collaborators Bradley Georgekish, Chris Saturland (Shibastik). He studied Music Industry Arts at Algonquin College where he met Paul Napash, they both shared the same classes and became good friends immediately.
After signing to PaulStar Entertainment, he had just finished recording his album with Paul Napash, his producer and CEO of PaulStar Entertainment. His debut album "Rise" is now available on all the major platforms. Live performances will be announced at the later date.
