PaulStar has a U2 guitar vibe mixed with a modern Pop, although he can work with any genre. He is also influenced by rap artists such as Tech N9ne, Logic, Eminem with their rapping styles.
He has just started writing his lyrics in his Cree language to engage his people back home in the Cree Nation of Chisasibi and other communities. He plans to release new single “Help (Wiichiiwawin)” will be on his new album “Passion”, what inspired him to write this song was that many teens, young adults or even adults took their own lives in one of those communities.
Growing up in a very remote area in Northern Quebec, Canada, he had the opportunity to be involved with music for over 20 years, he has learned to emulate many different genre styles as well as vocal techniques and can mimic certain major artists, such as Daughtry, Bon Jovi, Linkin Park, to name a few. What has helped perfect his abilities both as an artist and a producer/engineer within the music is Algonquin College’s Music Industry Arts program as well.
By completing this program, it has allowed him the opportunity to take his music career to the next level by being able to provide various services to other artists, whether they are just starting out by cutting a demo, or by completing a full album/EP/etc. PaulStar also have the ability/flexibility to sign other upcoming artists to his management/distribution label (PaulStar Entertainment). He is also self-taught playing different instruments, including guitar, bass, piano, drums, etc. His goals are to have his label fully-operated in spring/summer 2019.
